On August 22, the XiShan Electric Two-Wheeler Vehicle Trade Association of Wuxi organized a study tour to Segway-Ninebot (Changzhou).
The delegation was led by Executive Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Ziqiang and Secretary Xu Dan, joined by representatives from TAILG, Yadea, Sunra, and 12 other leading member enterprises. The visit aimed to learn from an emerging industry leader in smart mobility, providing inspiration for the transformation and growth of XiShan’s electric Two-Wheeler vehicle sector, particularly focusing on the advancements in the Electric Two-Wheeler market and innovations in Electric Two-Wheeler technology.

The association selected Segway-Ninebot because it has become a rising star in China’s electric two-wheeler market, known for pioneering Internet-driven applications and intelligent mobility solutions.
As a global benchmark in short-distance transportation and service robotics, Segway-Ninebot holds over 160 invention patents. With differentiated products and breakthrough technologies, it has captured significant market share—particularly in the RMB 4,000+ and RMB 7,000+ premium EV segments, where its sales outperform many traditional brands.
Nearly 40% of its employees work in R&D, far above the industry average. Its innovations—such as ride-sensing, kickstand sensors, and AI-powered lighting systems—demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs. First Impressions at Segway-Ninebot
Upon entering the company, the delegation was struck by its modern and dynamic atmosphere: employees traveled around the office on self-balancing scooters, young teams collaborated efficiently, and the product testing area buzzed with innovation.
During a guided tour of the data center, the delegation learned that Segway-Ninebot’s users are primarily young male consumers. In Europe and North America, scooters and self-balancing vehicles account for around 80% of the market share. The company’s strong patent portfolio has established a robust competitive advantage on a global scale.
Product Highlights
The group then visited the product showroom, where they explored a diverse range of products, including all-terrain vehicles, electric motorcycles, self-balancing vehicles, and robotic lawnmowers.
The standout model was the Segway-Ninebot E300P MK2 electric motorcycle, which reaches a top speed of 135 km/h thanks to its high-performance motor. Smart features include a 7-inch full-lamination TFT display, multi-mode unlocking, an AHRS anti-theft system, and the Hias lighting system that automatically adjusts to vehicle tilt. These features highlighted the company’s strength in blending automotive-grade technologies into electric two-wheelers, clearly demonstrating how smart systems enhance product competitiveness.
